Project Description and Expectations

 

Your assignment is to develop a Google Slides Presentation or Poster Board on the topic of Vaping. You will have two blocks to complete this task.

 

Grading Criteria:

  • Your Slides or Poster Board will be worth 30 POINTS. It must be a minimum of 8 slides, a minimum of five question Review.

  • Google Slides / Poster Board (You are only limited by your imagination!).

  • Create your “Vaping Presentation” for a pre-teen or teenage audience (Ages 8-12, or 13-19).

 

Points will be given as follows:

  1. Research/Reason why you chose topic: 5 POINTS

  • Must have a minimum of 10 slides.

  • Appropriate amount of time is spent preparing Presentation.

  1.  Originality/ Artistry: 10 POINTS

  • Make sure your Slides or Poster are appealing to your audience.

  • Smooth transitions that enhance the presentation.

  • Images are appropriate and layout is pleasing to the eye.

  1. Factual Content/Presentation Quality: 20 POINTS

  • Use your research.

  • Content is accurate and all required information is presented in a logical order.

  • Presentation flows well and logically.

  1. Works Cited: 10 POINTS
  • Minimum of 3 sources, at least 1 from a database
  • Works Cited must be in correct MLA Format on a GOOGLE DOC
  1. ABC’s: 5 POINTS

  • Check your spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc.

  • No spelling or grammar errors.

  • Text is in your own words!

 

Below is an example of the slide presentation order if you wish to follow this format. 

  1. Title slide.

  2. Intro (Pick how you want to design this slide…be creative)

  3. Define the topic

  4. History

  5. How is Smoking Different than Vaping

  6. How can Vaping lead to addiction?

  7. Why are teens more at risk for addiction than adults?

  8. Short/Long term effects/consequences.

  9. What advice would you give teens about vaping?

  10. What can someone do if they become addicted to vaping?

  11. 5 Review Questions for your audience

  12. Conclusion slide
