You will conduct research on another example of injustice that has occurred or is currently taking place around the world. Pay specific attention to an issue/topic that is of importance to you. Examples of topics include: the environment, voting rights, religious rights, racial equity, women’s rights, etc.
Task:
Step 1: Conduct research on an example of injustice and efforts being made to resist that injustice. (environmental, voting rights, religious rights, racial equity, women's rights, workers' rights, etc.)
Step 2: Compose an annotated bibliography that includes a minimum of 3 sources in order to answer the question: In what ways has violent and/or nonviolent resistance been used to address the injustice, and to what degree has it been successful?
Step 3: Create a contextualization paragraph where you identify the following:
Here is an excellent resource to get you started, especially if you are not sure of your topic yet.

An annotated bibliography is a list of sources in which each citation is followed by an annotation.
An annotation is a critical evaluative description of a source. It should include the following:
Afghanistan’s National Resistance Front: Progression and Success
If you aren’t alarmed about climate, you aren’t paying attention
‘Unsafe, unwelcoming’: LGBTQ students report facing hostility at school
National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls

World is Unprepared as Climate Change Starvation 'Disaster' Lies Ahead
Black Lives Matter at 10 years: 8 ways the movement has been highly effective
5 Ethical Issues in Technology to Watch for in 2023
Classism: America's Overlooked Problem

In an annotated bibliography, the annotation for a specific source comes immediately after the source citation. It is written in paragraph form.
Example:.
Barber, Benjamin R. Jihad vs. McWorld: How Globalism and Tribalism are Reshaping the World. New York: Ballentine Books, 1996.
In this book, Benjamin Barber discusses globalism, tribalism, democracy, and capitalism. Part I discusses the invasion of consumerism throughout the entire world, creating what he refers to as “McWorld.” Barber writes that this global overtaking has been accomplished through music, various service industries, and the media. Part II focuses on Jihad, in opposition to globalism, as people and countries struggle for their own individual and cultural identities. Part III describes the clash of ideologies with consumerism and the resulting global disorder. Capitalism and democracy are debated as working against each other.
The book was well-organized and the material Barber covers presents globalization in a new way. For the most part, the work is objective, though the author’s personal opinions about capitalism are evident throughout. This source will be especially useful for my paper, which focuses heavily on the film industry, as there is an appendix that lists top grossing films worldwide.
