Marriage Project: Home

Project overview

Research marriages (courtship, preparation, wedding ceremony, marriage roles, etc.) for two particular cultures, countries, societies, tribes, religions, and/or time periods of your choice, in order to determine the purpose and implications of marriage.

  • Select the most appropriate sources for the information you need.
  • Use a minimum of 3 sources, one of which must be a primary source.
  • As you use each source, enter source information into Noodle Tools.
  • Take notes as you read (to answer/discuss the questions below).
  • Credit the sources of your ideas in a Works Cited list.
  • Share your learning in a 5 - 10 minute presentation of appropriate visuals and bullet-pointed main ideas to the class. You may create a Google Presentation of 20-30 slides or an equivalent Tri-board.
