Health Careers Research Project: Introduction to Health Services
The goal of this project is for you to take an in-depth look at careers within the healthcare profession of particular interest to you, and consider your own potential for pursuing a specific occupation in healthcare.
You are required to research two health careers. Each career should come from one of four hospital services described in the textbook (Diagnostic, Therapeutic, Informational, and Environmental). Refer to Chapters 2 and 3 in your textbook as well as the Occupational Outlook Handbook website for specific professions.
Use this Libguide to access pre-selected credible sources for your research. Also consider using a book as one of your sources. If you use websites, be sure they are credible and of high quality

As you conduct your research, gather the following information for each of the two careers you select. Take notes in a format of your choosing.

You will share what you learned about your selected careers in a five-minute class presentation. Compare and contrast the specific aspects of the two careers. Choose one of the occupations that most interests you and explain how this occupation matches your interests and abilities.
You may use charts, pictures, or any other visuals during your presentation. You must have at least 10 to 15 slides. You may also include a short video or an interactive tool such as Quizlet or Kahoot.
You must use a minimum of 3 sources for your project. At least one of the sources must be from a database.
