ALL YEAR LONG!

Women's History Month – Southwest Harbor Public Library

The National Women's History Alliance designates a yearly theme for Women's History Month.

The 2025 theme is

  • Rachel Balkovec is the first woman to manage an affiliated baseball team.
  • Cleopatra was the last pharaoh of Egypt.
  • Margaret Sanger originated the term “birth control” and lobbied the FDA to approve the first oral contraceptive.
